Shadow work and lace shaped Child’s Collar

I just finished making this darling collar for a baby’s christening. I took pictures of the process. First, I did she shadow work bows. Next, the lace is pinned in position. Then I carefully pull the lace thread to gather the side that needs to be gathered.Next, it is ironed, and then the lace is basted down. On this one I did a tiny zig zag, but sometimes I pinstitch the lace down . Then the fabric is trimmed from behind the lace. Lastly, I attached the wider lace around the outside. I put a tiny bias around the neck edge.  Later I will make the child a blue dress to wear with the collar.
