Lili of the Valley Stamps

While making a few wedding cards this weekend, I decided to do a card with the other stamps that came in the set I recently purchased from Lili of the Valley. They are in England. The stamps are so cute and arrived quickly. On the bride/groom card, I used the double damask backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms. I heat embossed it in black. The pink side was embossed with a Spellbinder template. The trims are made with Spellbinder Floral Doiley Accents. The paper on the get well card is  a fabric paper from Michael’s. The wedding cake stamp is by Jone Hallmark.

Reusable Fabric Grocery Bags-Dharma Pattern

I have sewn quite a few of these bags. They are very sturdy and wash well.  This pattern has a pocket on the front. the bag folds up into the pocket, making it easy to carry with you or leave in the car.The soccer ball one is for a girl going to UNC Chapel Hill this fall. The other 2 are for a friends birthday. I have gotten some ecology theme fabrics at Hancock’s and made bags out of them, too. If you want the pattern, it is at   called the Dharma Eco-Friendly Bag. The kitchen print is called  Suburbia, by Robert Kaufman. The bag has 3 sizes. This is the medium size. I just checked and have found out the Dharma bag pattern is no longer in print. I bet it can be found on ebay or etsy.

Closer pictures of cards

When I looked at the  previous pictures, I realized you really can’t see the detail in the stamps. Here are some a little closer. Cupcake paper is from Road-look paper under Bentley is from a policeman paperpack. Sentiment is from stampin-up.I crocheted the little cotton flower on the bunny card.

June birthday and Father’s Day cards

I have enjoyed making lots of birthday cards for family and friends this weekend.  My dad will be 86 the day after Father’s Day. I have lots of new things to play with and it was hard deciding what to do first. I recently got some Lily of The Valley stamps from the UK. The card with the 2 bunnies is one of them. There is also a card with Bently the bear in a car from a free set that came in an English magazine. The mice with the cupcake is from a Penny Black set. The antique car cards use a paper from Graphic 45. I had the paper and saw a card using what I thought was it in Papercrafts May/June 2011. Turns out is was from  A Proper Gentleman paperpad. I am assuming it is a scaled down version of the paper I had, because I couldn’t begin to get 3 cars on a card. I have the Martha Stewart embossing board and it is really great for making envelopes. The trick is to have papers that aren’t too heavy for envelopes. The aqua card with the buttons is a set called button bits by papertrey.

Lilly Pulitzer Table Linens

I just finished 8- 90″tablerunners with mitered borders. They were made in 3 different Lilly fabrics- Catching zzz, Mommy and Me, and Ring My Little Bell. There were also 36 braided grosgrain ribbon napkin rings (pattern from Martha Stewart), 36 lined napkins and 36 drawstring favor bags. They are for a bridal luncheon this weekend on Fripp Island, SC. I can’t wait to see pictures of the tables. I am sure they will be spectacular! Another woman did glasses that are trimmed in the same fabrics.
