Hand Smocked and Shadow Worked Bearissima Swiss Batiste Yoke Dress

This one is a combination of Heaven Blessed and Princess Priya from the Australian Smocking Magazines. The hem has a shadow work bow at the top of each  mixed in with the bullions across the bottom. The sleeves tie with the same silk ribbon. The back buttons with mother of pear buttons sewn on with bullion flowers. The sleeves also have a scalloped lower edge.

Swiss Batiste Heirloom Bishop Daygown Australian Smocking Magazine Twinkletoes



I just finished this beautiful baby dress for a customer in Malaysia. It is made of ivory Bearissima Swiss batiste. It has the  Lily of the Valley Maline lace all over. The tucked hem has hand done bullions all around. Sleeves are also smocked.  It is from issue 50 of Australian Smocking and Embroidery and is available as a pattern download for 10.00.
